Web3 for Metaverses

We believe in the Metaverse in its broader sense, that there will not be one single platform - at least we hope there won't be - but many universes built by a variety of creators for various purposes, whether they are games, social meetups, workspaces, shops, spaces of creativity and expression, and much more !

All these worlds, these bubbles of realities, need a way to identify travelers, so that they can carry their personality, belongings and reputation from one place to another. We think we these identities should not belong to third parties but should be integrally controlled by their direct owners.

Enter decentralized networks. They are the perfect place to build a decentralized identity protocol, because they already have a way to identify users, and they are already used to manage assets and transactions without a central authority or platform.

There are many standards and protocols to support identities, ONCHAINID is one of them. The tools we developed and that are detailed in this documentation were designed to work mainly with ONCHAINID, but most of them can also be used with other protocols.
