Achievements & collectibles

Achievements could be distributed as Soul-Bound Tokens (or NFTs) by game servers, however we think off-chain claims are more appropriate (and cheaper). Whenever a game (or world) server wishes to distribute an achievement, it must generate and sign a claim (these servers must have a Claim Issuer contract associated to them). Verifying an achievement based on claims follows the same process as verifying an identity claim (see Access rights).

Collectibles are either Soul-Bound Tokens or Non-Fungible Tokens identity owners may have collected in other worlds or via other means. Proving ownership of a collectible is done by signing a message to authenticate with the owner wallet (or, if the collectible is owned by the identity, by authenticating for the ONCHAINID).

These collectibles can also be traded (if applicable) between metaverse visitors using blockchain transactions. All the benefits from using a blockchain are accessible (swapping, conditional transfers, etc).
